The Founders

Scott and Sarah MacLeod

Scott MacLeod moved to Nashville, Tennessee from Canada in 1987 seeking to use his creative gifting for the Lord in Christian music. For seven years, he worked full-time as a successful musician, songwriter, and producer in Nashville. In 1991, at a men's prayer meeting, the words of Jesus began to challenge Scott and his musical peers to get beyond themselves and their careers and to begin to minister to "the least of these."

Not knowing exactly what to do, or where to begin, but knowing that it was important for them to respond in obedience to God's word they stepped out in faith and began outreaches in downtown Nashville to homeless men. As they touched these poor and broken men their hearts were broken. These small outreaches were the beginning of the ministry of Provision International.

In 1992 Scott met Sarah, a physical therapist, and they married in 1993 knowing that God was putting them together for His divine purpose. They now have two wonderful children, Emily and Daniel.

The MacLeods have dedicated their lives to fight for the alleviation of suffering in the abolishment of poverty worldwide in the name of Jesus. They consider what they do a great responsibility and a wonderful privilege.
